Caring for long and short term residents in comfortable accommodation, we offer home from home comforts in rooms that can be decorated to suit each residents tastes. Caring for your present and future health needs we work closely with all the local surgeries and health care teams. Medical services that visit the home are Doctors, Dentists, Opticians, Reflexologists, Chiropodists, Occupational, Physio and Exercise therapists as well as Continence Nurses.

A bath with a Hoist is available downstairs. Hairdressers  visit regularly and we have regular entertainments . Residents may visit the local swimming baths or go shopping. Relatives and friends are always welcome.  Residents may use the garden freely and plant things if they wish.

Respite Care, is available subject to vacancies. Mardon House is a small home registered for 14 people of both gender over retirement age. Mardon House has eleven single rooms of which six are on the ground floor, of these five are en-suite. There are two large double rooms, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor which is en-suite. Access to the first floor rooms and bathroom is by staircase or stair lift. Over 80% of places are single rooms. Two of the single rooms are larger than requirements and both are en-suite. These with the two double rooms are premium rooms.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS. The contract sets out the terms and conditions and the agreed fee payable.

FEES. Nine of the thirteen rooms follow the assessed fees of Primary Care Trusts or Councils regardless of method of funding. There are four levels of fees according to assessed banding based on care needs. Fees are set before residential occupancy commences and are dependant upon the level of assessed care needs of the individual resident. Fees are reviewed annually in April unless there is a further change in the care needs of the resident. Should the care needs of the resident change , one months notice of such a change and notice of an increase in fees will be given in the form of a written statement which will form part of the contract.

STAFF TRAINING AND EDUCATION Twice yearly series of Training lectures in Caring and handling. Regular training in fire emergency procedures and other training from time to time. 

                                                                                                                                            Mardon House has been established for over 28 years and the present owners have many years in the care industry.                                                                                    Mardon House was formerly a Georgian Coaching House and fronts Higher Brimley Road.   The main feature of Mardon House is its large south facing Garden at the rear with its Patio and large lawn, its trees, wildlife, and goldfish pond. We are only a few minutes walk from the seafront shops, and escorted trips can be arranged.

                                            

Mardon House provides warm and friendly Care for the Elderly frail of both sexes. We provide an excellent range of freshly cooked foods to meet the dietary needs of all the residents.                                                                                                                         We encourage residents to come and go as they please while maintaining their health and safety. Each residents independence and privacy is always respected and encouraged.                                                                                                                            As a small family run Residential Home and as resident Proprietors we make it our business to ensure that residents enjoy their time with us.                                          You are invited to visit or stay on a trial basis before making a decision to stay. We are prepared to meet you in your own home to enable assessment on both sides if you wish. Residents may use their own furniture if they wish. Subject to items meeting Fire Proof regulations.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Coloured televisions with freeview are in each room.

We are Registered with the commission for Social Care Inspection now "CQC" and Accredited with the local authority. We are a member of the Residential Care Homes Trust.  We have published documents outlining our Aims and Objectives, also our care home statement of general policy for Health and Safety. We have a range of policies which we are required to have covering all aspects of you care including published statements of principle and policy committing Mardon House to the prevention of abuse as well as an Equal Opportunities policy statement.
